Knitting meetings and other stuff _Encuentros de Punto y otras cosas

I do envy people who can truly knit. I can do some basic stitches but don´t ask me to follow a complicate pattern .....I might not be able. I am 99% self-taught. ******Envidio a la gente que sabe hacer punto. Yo puedo con algunos puntos básicos pero no me pidas seguir un patrón complicado.... puede que no sea capaz. He aprendido lo poco que sé yo sola, 99%.
I just learnt last year, when I bought some knitting magazine, that stitch markers do exist!!! I was getting mad counting the stitches and getting lost.
Then, this year; I discovered that Etsy is a great market for handmade and quite original stitch markers.*****¡¡¡¡Tan solo el año pasado supe que existen los marcapuntos!!!! Y por casualidad, porque compré uan revista de patrones de punto. Me estaba volviendo loca contando los puntos y perdiéndolos. Luego, este año, vi que hay un gran mercado en etsy para este artículo, los hay bastante originales.



I have made 2 sets, one of 10 and another one of 20. I do not know if it´s too much or to little. I would love some feedback from knitters. Please, vote in my pool and let me know how many do you usually use :) I have seen packs of 4, of 6, 8 .... but I do not think I have seen many big sets. What is the average number of stitch markers do you use? .*****He hecho estos 2 sets, uno de 10 y otro de 20. No sé si son muchos o pocos. Me encantaría que me dijéseis cuántos soleis utilizar de media. Por favor, votad en la encuesta que hay en la columna derecha. He visto packs de 4,6,8, ... pero he visto pocos packs grandes.

As I told you before, I have knitted before. The biggest challenge is a blanket I made as a Christmas present for my boyfriend. It is not perfect, but the time and dedication I put into it makes it very special.***** Como os he dicho antes, yo ya he hecho punto. Mi reto más grande fue una manta que tejí para mi novio como regalo de navidad. No esperfecta pero el tiempo y dedicación que puse en ella la hacen muy especial.


I have always wanted to go to one of these knitting meetings, something like stitch'n'bitch but I am sooo ashamed of my basic knowledge on this matter that I feel I would be a weight for the rest of the group.... There are several knitting meetings in England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales.
